Lilija was watching me put on foundation and she must have thought that ketchup was the same thing. *sigh*

You can't really tell with the video so here is the final product. Quite lovely don't you think. Maybe she has a future with Mary Kay or Aveda! (Even funnier...Lilija just walked by the computer pointed at the picture and said, "Eww!")

Carl thought it was necessary to teach Lilija "touchdown" with her arms held up in the air. We'll see if she remembers tonight for the game...because you KNOW there are going to be some MN touchdowns! Go Vikes!

Giving Thanks

This was year number 4 or 5 that we had Friend's Thanksgiving. Andy, Trish, Meg, Rog, Meg-Meg, Scott, Jack, Carl, Lilija and I (oh and Doolie) get together and we each bring a couple things and it equals a feast. Some of us have family out of town...some have family that goes out of town so we just decided a few years back that we should celebrate together.

The New House

We are in LOVE with our new place...well most of it that is. I couldn't stand the large pine tree in the front yard. I haven't had much experience with trees living in a townhome for the the last 5 years but this one was big and dirty! Carl and I were constantly sweeping up pine needles and pinecones. The tree had to come down!! AND the day before Thanksgiving it did thanks to Andy and a buddy of his. They used to cut down trees for Asplundh (or something spelled close to that) so they had it on the ground in no time. Yippee!!

Mom (Nana), Gram (GG Nana), Lilija and I (and baby JJ Jr.) went to Maplewood Mall while the boys were hunting. They have a HUGE two tier carousel in the center of the mall. Mom took Lilija on it before we left. (I could barely watch. I get incredibly motion sick on rides that go in circles. Put me on a ride where I free-fall 350 feet and I'm good to go but a silly little circle ride will do me in!) Mom said that the entire time she was either saying "wee!" or "horsey...neigh!!" That was until she had to get off the ride and then Lilija must have thought the world was going to end right there because she had a major meltdown right in the middle of the mall. Oh to be a one and a half year old!

Trick or Treat!

Carl did a great job of getting Lilija all set for Halloween. I was in North Carolina (pout) so I didn't have a say in the outfit or get to see her dressed up. (I did however get a package of pictures sent to my hotel room so I could see her before the 31st. Way to go Babe!) Carl even taught her how to say, "Trick or treat!" (She was a candy corn...no pink or ruffles this year!)

Trip to Colorado - Dinner at the Molins

Acko Tommy and Nancy Nan have an incredible house in Fort Collins. They've lived there for many years and in the last couple of years Nancy got the remodel of her dreams. She does interior design and can work magic with just about anything! The results of their remodel should be showcased in Better Homes and Garden. Seriously!

The following day Andy, Trish, Carl, Lilija and I drove up into the Mountains. It was CHILLY!! (duh - I know...we were headed into the mountains but still!)

Kent and Meghan's wedding was held at a ranch in the Rocky Mountains. It was BEAUTIFUL!! Lilija wouldn't sit still for Mama and Daddy but she sat like a little angel for her Bapa!

Yes - so I've been a bit of a slacker in updating this but I have an excuse!! The past month and a half has been an absolute whirlwind!

• Kent and Meghan's wedding out in Colorado beginning of October
• We decided to move into Mom and Dad's rental house and sell our townhome. We pack our house in 1 week and move.
• I have one week off work to get settled in...
• and then I head out to North Carolina for 3 weeks for work. Get back on Thursday...
• Carl leaves Friday morning for huntin'

Nana and Bapa's Cabin

Grandma and Grandpa Freeman had the joy of purchasing a permanent in the Grand Marais campground this year. We are lovingly calling it the "cabin". It's a beautiful trailer with a view of Lake Superior. *sigh* I can hear the foghorn calling...

Lilija's first skizzle

If you're wondering what a skizzle is then you NEED to take a drive to Grand Marais. It's legendary. Like I would almost drive to Grand Marais just to have one. Seriously. They're that good.

Grand Marais 2009 Part 1

We had a great time back in Grand Marais. We were able to use Mom and Dad's camper because of their new "cabin" in the campground. I was a little worried at first but it worked out great! I miss the smell of campfire...*sigh*...

Oh my!

That's right! We are expecting Corbett Baby #2 sometime in the Spring! (since Lilija decided to be about 3 weeks late I'm going to give you a due-date range) They'll be right about 2 years apart which in theory sounds like a great plan...although there's not a whole lot we can do about that now! Hopefully Lilija will be out of diapers by then and if not, oh well, we'll figure it out!

So that's the big news in our household! I'll continue to keep you updated on cravings, weird dreams, and all the fun stuff that comes with being prego!

We just got done taking a bath, getting PJ's on, and hair combed. Lilija was playing on/in a box on the floor and decided to crawl into my lap. I got the camera and started taking pictures and she just started cracking up! *sigh*
