4 Months Old

Calah is growing up so fast! She is already over 21 pounds and 27 inches long. The Jump-a-roo had to go up another level. At this rate she's going to outgrow it by the time she's 6 months! She is such a smiley baby and she loves to snuggle with Mama and Daddy. It's a very fun mix!

Highlights from the last month:
  • A new nickname "Calah-dactyl" like the pterodactyl dinosaur. I'm not sure what sound a pterodactyl made but I'm sure Calah has a squawk that's pretty close!
  • Can reach for something that she wants.
  • Is close to rolling over.
That's about it for now...I can't wait to see what the next month brings!

Love you all,
Carl "Chip", Kysa, Lilija and Calah

Playin' with the Otter

MN Zoo

Last weekend the Wooden Family made their way down to the cities for some family time, chatting, popcorn (oh yeah!) and a trip to the MN Zoo. What a great weekend! Is it time to get together again?Wooden Family: Toby, Keri, Leif, Kale, and Baby...

Marty or Martina

We've had a visitor in our backyard the last couple of weeks. I named him Marty only to find out that HE was a SHE!

Pigtails and a Uni-tail??

Calah has rubbed the hair off of the sides and back of her head which has left her with a pretty sweet mohawk/Donald Trump hair-do. Pretty outstanding if I say so myself. I wondered if I could get it into a ponytail on the top of her head. Yep, it worked..and was hilarious. Also, I bribed Lilija (yes, I admit it) with chocolate (hey, it worked) to let me put her hair in pigtails. She never lets me do her hair, so if I got the chance to do my daughters hair, and all it took was a Hershey's kiss, well that's a win in my book!

Just for Fun

Another comparison...

This picture is of LILIJA when she was 5 months old.

Grand Marais - Part 3

Lilija's favorite phrase of the weekend was (say it with me) "Go throw rocks in the water? Pweeeeese!!"

Grand Marais - Part 2

I took about 1/3 of the pictures that I normally do. I think that could be attributed to the cold weather and looking after a 2 year old and 3 month old. So...sorry Meg-Meg, I didn't get a picture of you and I also didn't get a picture of me and the hubby together. Pout. Oh well, there's always next year!
Calah all bundled up.
*awe* Jack and Lilija
The rain finally left us. *sigh*
Me and Meg
Meg and Rog. And yes, she is holding a knife. No worries, we had just gotten done cutting up vegetables for brunch. :)
Scott and Justin. Justin was a new addition this year. He brought a great sense of humor, was good with the kids, and the heavy-duty steaks (the metal kind...not the eat kind) came in extremely handy. Let's just say that Meg-Meg and Scott's tent didn't blow away...again. Thank goodness!!

Grand Marais - Part 1

The famous Driving Pictures. Calah is not included...I haven't figure out a way to get a good picture of her in her car seat. I was going to ask Carl to take a picture, but apparently driving was more important. :)Jack is somewhere in the back seat...I think. Isn't it amazing how much stuff you can fit in a vehicle?!
We stopped in Cloquet at Gordy's Hi Hat on the way up. It was featured on a Food Network show so we decided to stop and check it out. We're sure glad that we did! The food was amazing!! So, for anyone that want's a great burger, fries, cheese curds, malt, etc. I HIGHLY suggest it.

Funny faces, 15 Weeks Old, and Pajama time

Corbett Family Get-together

We hosted dinner at our house for the Corbett Family. It had been a long time since we had all gotten together. It was great to see everyone!

All you need is a Cub Foods box...

Lilija had a fun evening playing with the Cub Foods boxes. First they were a tower, next she used them as a wagon for her stuffed animals, then she decided it was nap time (pictured), and finally she put one on her head and walked around the house saying, "I am a robot." I decided that the most logical thing would be to put the other Cub Foods box on my head and follow suit. So there we were, walking around the house saying, "I am a robot" while Carl and Calah just looked at us like we were crazy.
