Cardboard box...best toy EVER!

Friendsgiving

Oh, the Friendsgiving tradition. I asked my Mama this year, "do you know how the Friendsgiving tradition started?" She didn't know, so I enlightened her on the story.

Once upon a time, there were parents of the Freeman's, Corbett's, and Forestell's that decided to abandon their kids for Thanksgiving. One set went up North to a land of Nisswa while the other was off on an adventure across the Pacific. What were their children to do? How could a great feast be made on this day without them? Why, they decided to band together! Favorite foods from all the families were combined into a great feast. Such fun was had that the tradition has continued to this day.

I wish I would have gotten more pictures this year but I couldn't find the camera. Apparently, I left it outside and if you recall this was the day that started out super nice and then winter arrived. I'm just thankful it still works! (the last one had fog on the lens...but I still think it's cute)

Thanksgiving Brunch

A new tradition started this year - brunch with GG, Nana, and Bapa at GGs place. We have done Thanksgiving with the group for years now, but loved the added addition of starting off the day over at GGs with warm caramel rolls. Um, yum!

Huntin' time = Shoppin' time!

Are you ready for a weekend of shopping? How about rides?

Cheese!

The boy sitting next to Calah was freaking out, and she was saying, "Let's go HIGHER!"

There's a smile...sort of...

All smiles for GG!

Halloween - Yep, I'm that far behind.

She's a Samba master!

Come and dine

I have grown up singing this song for special family dinners and get-together's. It's so fun to hear our girls sing along as the tradition continues!

Come and Dine
Come and dine the Master calleth, come and dine.
You may feast at Jesus table all the time.
He who fed the multitudes, turned the water into wine.
To the hungry calleth now, come and dine.

Acko Tommy and Nancy Nan...welcome to MN!

Campfire in January? Or are you really that far behind on your blog? Um...yeah. :) Yes, I've been a slacker, but I'm going to try to get caught up over the next couple weeks. We'll see how that goes!

Acko Tommy and Nancy Nan (my uncle and aunt) came up to MN from Colorado for a week or so to see GGs. We had dinner at our place one night and the weather was perfect for a fiyo. Fun times!
